Susanna Reid has defended Madonna's Grammys appearance, insisting that the pop queen 'should feel proud' of herself.
Vogue hitmaker Madonna, 64, attended the 65th Grammy Awards to introduce British singer Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ Unholy performance, however, as she walked out on stage, all attention turned towards Madonna's appearance.
Madonna wore a monochromatic fitted and tailored black jacket and white shirt, and she teamed the look with a long back skirt and high heels.
Following her latest public appearance, celebrities including Piers Morgan and Lorraine Kelly have hit out at the music icon, insisting that she no longer looks like herself - however, Susanna Reid has now shot down the cruel comments made about Madonna.

During Wednesday's instalment of Good Morning Britain, Susanna jumped to Madonna's defense as she and co-host, Ed Balls, discussed the controversy surrounding her appearance.
"She’s 64 years old and I think she is damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t because if she aged naturally people would still be focused and obsessed with her appearance," Susanna insisted.

Madonna has also hit back at trolls over the criticism (Getty Images for The Recording A)"People are going to be obsessed with how Madonna appears and she thinks it is an example of misogyny, ageism and she also blames the long lens of the camera which took her photo.
"Frankly, do you know what? I think she should just look however she wants to look and there we go and there you have it.
"She should feel proud of herself whatever she does," Susanna concluded.
In her attempt to shoot down the trolls, Madonna took to Instagram to slam the cruel comments made about her appearance as she said fans were more interested in pictures of her rather than the stellar performances at the Grammys.

"A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working and adventurous. I have never apologised for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I’m not going to start.
"I have been degraded by the media since the beginning of my career but I understand that this is all a test and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come."
