Tory loudmouth Lee Anderson slammed MP second jobs - before getting his own TV gig on the side.

The Conservative deputy chairman has been given a weekly show on GB News where he will be able to air his vile rants about the poor.

But he has been exposed as a hypocrite as it emerged he has previously railed against MPs splitting their time between the Commons and other work outside.

“I don’t have a second job, I love the job I have already,” he previously posted on Facebook.

The Ashfield MP criticised Labour’s Jess Phillips after she made a one-off appearance on Have I Got News For You.

“I am sure Jess will donate this huge sum of money to a good cause in her constituency during these difficult times,” he wrote.

Mr Anderson also publicly denounced ex-Cabinet minister Owen Paterson as he faced a row over his second job.

“We are paid handsomely for the job we do and if you need an extra £100,000 a year on top then you should really be looking for another job,” he posted.

Mr Anderson has repeatedly ranted about struggling Brits relying on foodbanks - and earned the nickname “30p Lee” for his claims about the cost of meals.

Last week he was accused of "demonising" those in poverty by saying families "abuse" foodbanks then take their children to McDonald's.

Earlier this year he claimed foodbank users squander their cash on cigarettes, alcohol, expensive TV subscriptions and holidays.

In 2021, when the men's Euro 2020 football tournament was taking place, he vowed to boycott England matches in protest at the players taking the knee in support of anti-racism campaigners.

The controversial MP was appointed by Rishi Sunak as deputy chairman of the Conservative Party last month.

Within hours, the Prime Minister distanced himself from him after he backed the return of the death penalty.

Mr Anderson is the latest in a string of Tories to take jobs at GB News and rival station Talk TV.

Former Cabinet minister Esther McVey and her husband Philip Davies have got a show on GB News, as well as Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Ex-culture secretary Nadine Dorries has a weekly programme on Talk TV.

Mr Anderson, who earns £84,144 as an MP, did not respond to questions on whether he will donate his GB News earnings to charity.
