COURT AT SLIP (2.05) can hit his rivals for six in the Cazoo Handicap Chase at Newcastle.
Tim Easterby’s six-year-old was a winner over hurdles, but since transferring to chasing this term, his form has gone on an upward curve.
After beating stablemate Beat The Edge at Wetherby on Boxing Day in a three-mile novice chase, he had a couple of indifferent runs at the Yorkshires course, before returning to winning ways at Gosforth Park 19 days ago, wearing blinkers for the first time.
That was over the distance (2m 7f), and his best performance to date, trouncing Return Fire by 14 lengths.
Court At Slip has been given an extra 4lb to carry, but that should not stop him scoring again.
