The draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup has taken place - with Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham all discovering their next opponents.

The draw was conducted on Monday evening ahead of the final tie of the fourth round between League One side Derby and Premier League regulars West Ham.

The fifth round is a midweek round, with all ties scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 1. Some of these fixtures will be played on Tuesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 2 once the televised games are confirmed by the BBC and ITV in February.

Man City were the first team to secure their spot in the fifth round by beating Premier League title rivals Arsenal 1-0 at the Etihad on Friday. They were joined by local rivals Man Utd the following day after their comfortable 3-1 home win against Reading.

"The first 60 minutes was a really good performance," said Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag. "I think we totally dominated the game, we were composed in possession, with good moments where we accelerated... We are here for trophies, but we have a long way to go."

Tottenham also strolled into the fifth round by thumping Preston 3-0 at Deepdale on Saturday, while Leeds avoided an upset on the same day by winning 3-1 at Accrington Stanley. The biggest surprise of the round was Brighton's 2-1 win against holders Liverpool.

"This season has been nowhere near good enough," Liverpool's Andy Robertson told ITV. "At the start of the year, we wanted a fresh start but that hasn't happened - we've been worse. In the league, we haven't been good enough and now we're out of both cups."

Wrexham, the only non-league side left in the tournament, almost produced a memorable upset during their 3-3 home draw against Championship promotion candidates Sheffield United. A last-gasp John Egan goal forced the tie into a replay.

"Obviously it's a real blow that we haven't got over the line, so it's mixed emotions as you can imagine," Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson told the BBC. "But the way the lads performed on the big stage was outstanding."

Sheff Utd boss Paul Heckingbottom added: "We all know why everyone turned up here today [to see an upset], I'm just glad we've not given everyone what they wanted. That was our motivation so we're pleased to be in the fifth-round draw."

Five of the six replays are expected to take place on Tuesday, February 7. The replay between Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers will take place on Tuesday, January 31.
