A man has been arrested after a police officer was stabbed in the shoulder while responding to a distress call.
The West Midlands Police officer responded to a call in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham in the early hours of Wednesday, January 25.
Police were called to an address in Reeves Road and found a man armed with a knife just after 6am.
In a statement, police said: "A man has been arrested after one of our officers was stabbed while responding to a call in Birmingham.
"Shortly after 6am yesterday, January 25, three of our Pcs were called to an address in Reeves Road, where a serious disorder was taking place."

The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing, police have said.
The suspect was arrested at the scene on suspicion of wounding with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place.
They added: "We take assaults against our officers incredibly seriously and are supporting the officer who was assaulted. Officers keep us safe every day and deserve to be able to do their job without fear of being attacked."
Rich Cooke, the chairman of West Midlands Police Federation, tweeted: "Extreme bravery from our officers during the arrest of a man armed with a knife who attacked them.
"Officers received lacerations and other injuries but will be OK. #KnifeCrime #Bravery #Taser #ProtectTheProtectors @ResponseWMP."
Data from the Home Office published in 2022 said there were almost 37,000 assaults on police officers in England and Wales in the year ending March 2021.
The numbers say there were 25,734 crimes of “assault without injury on a constable”. This was a 21% increase on the previous year.
A smaller increase was observed for “assault with injury on a constable," with 11,235 crimes recorded, a 1.2% compared to the previous year.
In September last year, two officers in London's Leicester Square were injured in an unrelated incident while on duty.

Hotel worker Arunas Ambrulevius told the media at the time: "The police had got the knife out of his hand.
"It fell on the ground but then he grabbed it and went at them. One of them had an arm injury, the other looked a lot less serious."
