Aftersun star Paul Mescal is jumping for joy as Irish and British actors dominate this year's Oscars nominations, which were announced this week.
Four of the top 10 acting nominees are from the UK or Ireland.
Mescal leapt in the air at being among them, just three years after the Irish actor was first on TV screens, in Normal People.
Yesterday Paul, 26, appeared in A Streetcar Named Desire in London's West End.
Sister Nell shared photos of him celebrating, and said she was sobbing with pride.

The Love Actually star, who has a Golden Globe and two BAFTAs, said recently fans often think he has an Oscar too.
"Two cab drivers (not that I'm counting) have congratulated me on winning one," he said last year.
Geordie Andrea Riseborough, 41, got her first Academy Award nomination for her role in To Leslie, in which she plays a single mother who battles alcoholism after winning the lottery.
Bill Nighy is also nominated for Best Actor for his role in Living (Getty Images)The Banshees Of Inisherin's Colin Farrell landed one of the film's nine nominations, his first Oscar nod.
Three of the film's mainly Irish cast got Supporting Actor nominations. Director Martin McDonagh is also nominated.
The remarkable Everything Everywhere All at Once is this year's most nominated film with 11 nods.
All the winners will be announced on March 12.
