Kemi Badenoch slammed Prime Minister Andy Burnham as "unbelievable" in a brutal House of Commons exchange.
She focused on defence spending - and pointed out that Mr Burnham had failed to pledge that he would meet a target of spending 3% of GDP on defence by 2030.
Mrs Badenoch said the UK faces threats now, as Argentina claimed ownership of the Falklands and Russia continued its attempted invasion of Ukraine.
And she asked "how can we believe" he will defend the nation when he is unable to set out plans for defence spending.
In another brutal question, she asked: "Is the Prime Minister unable or is he just unwilling?
