Noel Gallagher 's estranged wife Sara MacDonald has turned to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lawyer during their divorce proceedings.
The Oasis man, 55, and Scottish music publicist Sara, 51, announced earlier this month that they are splitting after 22 years together - 11 of those as a married couple.
A representative for the former couple told the Mirror : "Noel and Sara will continue to look after their children who remain the priority.
"They ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time."
Following the news, Sara hired Jenny Afia - a specialist in reputation management - after she filed for divorce after reports that the pair spent 18 months trying to save the marriage but to no avail.
Noel Gallagher misgenders Sam Smith and calls them a 'f***ing idiot' in rantNoel and Sara had reportedly tried evenings out and family holidays - the estranged couple share two sons; Donovan, 15, and Sonny 12 - but the publicist called an end to the relationship, not the Oasis rockstar.
Noel is said to have moved out of their Hampshire home and currently living alone in North London following the split.
The former couple exchanged marriage vows in 2011 at the Lime Wood Hotel in Hampshire — with Noel's brother Liam missing out on an invite - and comedian Russell Brand being his best man.
A source close to the couple told The Sun : "Noel has really mellowed out in recent years he might be the rock star in the relationship, but Sara is the one with the more rock and roll lifestyle.
“There’s always speculation that a famous man must have made the decision, but that’s not the case.
"Lately she’s been the one who has wanted to stay out partying when he hasn’t, and socialised separately more often than not — and she’s grown close to some new people.
"In the end she was the one who stepped away from the marriage, but they’ve kept things very amicable – they’re focused on their children and things are going well."
Ms Afia recently appeared in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Netflix docuseries - Harry & Meghan - as one of their allies. She has also represented Johnny Depp during his defamation case with Amber Heard in November 2020.
She works for London-based law firm Schillings and is one of the leading specialists in privacy and reputation management.
