Two men stabbed and woman assaulted in violent Tesco car park attack

Two men have been stabbed and a woman punched after they were targeted by a group in a Tesco car park.

Emergency services rushed to Leeholme Road, in Billingham, County Durham, at around 9.35pm on Monday night after it was reported that a black Hyundai Tuscan in the car park was targeted by a group of men riding electric bikes and a quad bike.

The quad bike is understood to have driven at the Hyundai causing damage, before the men dragged people out of the car and assaulted them.

The woman driving the Hyundai was pulled out and punched to the face, while two men were forced from the rear of the vehicle and attacked.

The two men were taken to hospital with stab wounds to the abdomen and their sides. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. A fourth man in the passenger seat of the car was not hurt in the incident.

Pictures from the scene, shared on social media, show a cordon was erected in the car park overnight. This was removed by Tuesday morning at 7am and the store is open as usual, reported TeessideLive.

Detectives are now investigating the incident and anyone who witnessed the attack or has footage is urged to come forward by police.
