A gang of thugs were caught swinging punches at one another in a McDonald's just 24 hours after a customer pulled out a knife in another branch.

Children at the Macca's were seen leaping out of their seats as the yobs broke out into a violent brawl by the self service machines on Saturday.

Shocking footage shows the rowdy group pushing and shoving one another across the main floor of the branch in Wood Green, north London.

Customers can be heard screaming for the ruckus to "stop" while the group hurl threats at each other.

It is not known what started the confrontation which ended with one of the group being knocked over into the machine.

A clip circulating on social media shows panicked McDonald's workers trying to stop the fight as more youngsters piled into the restaurant.

While children looked on in fright as the brawl unfolded.

The terrifying incident comes just one day after thugs were seen fighting inside another McDonald's where one pulled out a huge knife, reports The Sun.

Footage shows a group of young men pushing and shoving each other between the self-service machines at one of the fast-food outlets in Hackney, London, on Friday.

One of the lads pulled out a crutch to use as a weapon, while another started wielding a large knife.

Police confirmed they had spoken to a man who reported an assault in relation to Saturday's incident.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 6.35pm on Saturday January 21 to reports of a disturbance at a restaurant in High Road, N22.

"Officers attended and spoke to a man, aged in his 20s, who reported that he had been assaulted by a group of three suspects who had since left the location.

"He did not require hospital treatment."

An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing to track the suspects.

McDonald's told the Mirror Online that the company is aware of both incidents and are supporting police with each investigation.

In relation to the most recent outbreak, a spokesperson said: "The safety and security of our people and customers is our absolute priority, and this behaviour is totally unacceptable.

"We are aware of this incident that occurred on Saturday night.

"The police attended and we will be supporting them with any ongoing investigation.

"We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to anti-social behaviour in our restaurants."
