FBI says alleged anarchist offered $45,000 bounty for Pam Bondi’s death

An alleged anarchist with prior arrests has been taken into custody for supposedly placing a hit on Attorney General Pam Bondi on TikTok, according to the FBI.

Court documents reveal that 29-year-old Tyler Maxon Avalos was arrested on October 16 after the FBI was tipped off about an alleged murder-for-hire scheme on the social media app this month.

The threatening post featured a photo of Bondi "with a sniper-scope red dot" on her forehead.

The caption read, "WANTED: Pam Bondi / REWARD: 45,000 / DEAD OR ALIVE / (PREFERABLY DEAD)," as per court documents.

Below the photo, Avalos allegedly wrote, "Cough cough. When they don’t serve us, then what?"

Authorities claim that Avalos has anarchist affiliations, noting his TikTok username "Wacko," which features an apparent anarchy symbol.

His profile also includes a link to "An Anarchist FAQ book," a photo of the account in the court documents shows.

Avalos is also reportedly known to have an extensive criminal record, including convictions for stalking and domestic assault in various states.

He was convicted in July 2022 of felony stalking in Dakota County, Minnesota, as well as felony third-degree domestic battery in Polk County, Florida.

In April 2016, he was convicted of misdemeanor domestic assault in Dakota County, which court documents indicate appears to have been reduced from a felony domestic assault by strangulation charge.
