Meghan Markle showcased her incredible designer kitchen in a video announcing her new lifestyle brand.
The 42-year-old surprised fans when she took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal she had been hard at work on her latest venture, American Riviera Orchard, which will reportedly focus on home, garden, food, and lifestyle content. In a video posted on social media, Meghan can be seen picking flowers and cooking in a kitchen, and the bio for the brand’s new Instagram page simply reads: “By Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Established 2024.”
It was revealed that American Riviera Orchard was inspired by her and Prince Harry’s move to Montecito, California, in 2020, when they relocated to the US after stepping down as senior working members of the Royal Family. The brand will also reportedly sell a selection of high-end homeware, such as cookbooks, foods, and kitchenware - however, it has not yet been confirmed if the mother-of-two will be penning her own cookbook in the future.

In the clip, Meghan can be seen cooking in the kitchen with a variety of items around her, suggesting they will be for sale on her new website.

Behind the expensive range cooker is exposed brickwork, and gives the kitchen a rustic vibe, which ties into the surroundings of their lavish mansion in Montecito. The muted colours also give off a feeling of luxury, and the kitchen is located in the perfect spot to be bathed in sunlight. Perfectly placed items are also dotted around the kitchen, including large ceramic bowls, metal decanters filled with olive oils and salad dressings, and stylish serveware fit for a former royal.

Another standout piece is an ornate bronze fruit stand filled with lemons - possibly from the couple’s own orchard in the grounds of their lavish Californian mansion - and neutral-coloured square plates.
Glass decanters, perfect for pouring her favourite red wine, are also on the vast kitchen island, alongside serving bowls and more crockery, which could indicate Meghan is preparing to launch her own range of homeware for fans to snap up. There’s also rustic looking mugs dotted around the kitchen, as well as copper pans, which are an essential for any serious cook.
Meghan has reportedly been working on the brand for over a year, and a source told the Daily Mail that it was created in conjunction with the launch of a new cookery show on Netflix. “Meghan will be making, and selling, products such as jams. And at some point there will be a book and blog etc.”
