Prince William and Prince Harry have grown apart over the years, but it appears there is one key 'moment' when it became clear the siblings were no longer close.
The brothers have had strained relations appear to stem from the decision for the Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle to step down from royal life in 2020. Further fuel has been added to the fire over the years with the couple's Netflix documentary and Harry's autobiography 'Spare'.
But Harry first gave a hint his relationship with his big brother was breaking down in October 2019 in the ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. He said: "Look, we're brothers, we'll always be brothers. And we're certainly on different paths at the moment, but I'll always be there for him, as I know he'll always be there for me."

In their ITV documentary in 2019, Prince Harry revealed he and brother William were no longer close (ITV)Harry continued: "We don't see each other as much as we used to because we're so busy, but you know, I love him dearly. The majority of this stuff (in the press) is created out of nothing, but you know, as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days."

Tonight we will see the brothers both attend a memorial event for their mum Princess Diana, yet as their relationship is still strained they won't appear together. The Prince of Wales is set to give a short speech before a crowd at the Science Museum in London tonight for the annual Diana Legacy Awards as he honours 20 winners - which marks its 25th anniversary. His younger brother the Duke of Sussex will then offer his congratulations, but this will be done virtually from California with zero interaction between the two brothers.
The brothers were last seen together in 2022 for the funeral of their grandmother Queen Elizabeth IITheir paths won't cross at all either, as Harry will appear on a video call with recipients after William has already left, according to reports. The siblings did similar last year when they recorded separate videos to congratulate the winners, and were more than 5,000 miles apart. Instead, their offices were forced to organise separate appearances with The Diana Award charity. In previous years the brothers have presented together, but since their relationship has deteriorated they have instead chosen to work separately.
