Academy award-nominated actor Bradley Cooper took a date to the Oscars this year, but it wasn't who reports said it would be.
The Maestro actor took the red carpet with his mum, Gloria Campano, instead of his girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid. Gigi and Bradley have yet to go official, and rumours claimed this was going to be the night they would - but instead Bradley wanted to show off his love for his mum.
Bradley was in a tailored black suit and trousers with a collared white button up underneath. Gloria posed with her arm around her son in a black floor length dress, aviator sunglasses, and a black jacket. Her blond hair was down to her shoulders with side bangs covering her face.

Bradley took the red carpet with his mum instead of girlfriend Gigi HadidBradley is up for Best Actor for his role as Leonard Bernstein in Maestro. He also directed the film, which is up for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay.

This isn't Bradley's first time at the Academy Awards. He was nominated for his work in Silver Linings Playbook in 2013; American Hustle in 2014; American Sniper in 2015; and 2019's A Star Is Born.
The doting son has brought his mother to the Oscars before, but this year fans thought it would be different. According to Page Six, Bradley and Gigi were set to take the red carpet together, going official with their relationship.

He's nominated for three awards at the Oscars (Getty Images)The outlet might have gotten that bit wrong, but they also claimed that Bradley will take Gigi to the Vanity Fair Oscars Party after the official ceremony. So it's still possible that the two will hard launch their relationship tonight.
The two were spotted after the Golden Globes back in January at a private dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles. Gloria also attended the meal, with a source telling People that they "all had fun."

The Silver Lining Playbook star shares daughter Lea de Seine, six, with his ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk and recently bought a house near Gigi's Pensylvania ranch. Gigi is mum to Khai, three, who she shares with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik.
