Wayne Rooney was left in stitches after a conversation with Hollywood star Gary Oldman prior to Saturday's game between Manchester United and Everton at Old Trafford.
Oldman, 65, is a huge United fan and was in the stands to watch the Red Devils beat Everton 2-0 and reignite their Champions League hopes. Before the game, Oldman appeared on TNT Sports alongside Jules Breach, Rio Ferdinand and Rooney and admitted he keeps in contact with former boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
When Breach revealed that Oldman still goes for drinks with Ferguson, he said: "Well that's one of the great treats. We even text each other occasionally, I've got the guvnor's number."
Ferdinand then asked: "Does he give you tips for his horses?" However, Oldman then claimed that Ferguson doesn't give anything away. He replied: "No, he keeps those close to his chest."
A smiley Rooney, who was laughing, added: "I don't think he gives anyone them tips!" Ferguson will have six horses running at Cheltenham Festival this year. Protektorat, Hitman, L'Eau Du Sud, Sonigino, Monmiral and Il Ridoto will all be taking part, with his first racing on Wednesday, March 13.

Oldman claimed an Oscar for Best Actor in 2018 for his performance in Darkest Hour. When Breach asked if he would swap that prize for United winning the Premier League next season, Oldman didn't hesitate at saying: "Yeah."

The Red Devils' win over Everton moved them to within two points of fifth-place Tottenham and eight behind Aston Villa in fourth. Villa host Spurs in a crucial clash on Sunday afternoon.
Although it wasn't the most fluent performance from United, Ten Hag was pleased that his side ground out a vital three points. He told TNT Sports: "It was important.
"We had to put this right and keep the pressure on the teams above us. There are many games to play. Now we are back. We will keep pressure on them and see what happens."

We had better chances, very good breaks and sometimes we can make better choices, perhaps rest on the ball a little longer when we can’t go for goal but we could've easily scored two more goals instead of just the penalties.
"In the build-up, I think we can be more calm and composed. Everton were good on their high press but that leaves a lot of space in behind which we used well with the runs in behind and that’s how we created a lot of our chances."
