Nobody likes cleaning the inside of their car - especially whilst the rainy weather refuses to leave.
In fact, a 2020 study of 1,000 drivers found that a whopping 38 per cent of respondents only clean the interior every couple of months, while six per cent admitted to never giving their vehicle a little bit of TLC. But if the McDonald's wrappers and dog hair are starting to get out of hand, it's time to get to muster up some motivation and get to work.
Luckily, one man has gone viral after sharing his 'game-changing' hack to make car mats look like they've been 'professionally cleaned' using a rather unusual household item.
According to viral TokTok star Creative Explained, all you need is a cheap toilet brush (preferably unused) like this one from Asda that only costs £1.30. Then, cut off most of the handle, leaving around six inches left.
The man proceeds to attach the loo brush to a drill and uses it to buff off the dirt and dust etched onto his grim-looking car mat. "Boom, that's amazing," he added, showing how you can achieve professional standard results in a matter of seconds. He credited the hack to fellow TikToker That 40 Year Guy, who says it's 'incredibly wild' how easy the dirt lifts using this method.

Hundreds of viewers took to the comments section to express their thoughts on the cleaning tip - with one user branding it 'genius'. "Fantastic idea," one viewer raved, "Especially for when the dog has dropped fur in the car." Another agreed, commenting: "I'm going to try that next time, thanks." While a third added: "You are just so darn smart."
However, many viewers were sceptical of the hack - arguing a vacuum would work just as well and avoid the expense of ruining a new toilet brush. "Isn't that what hoovers are for?" asked one person, while another said: "Or... Hear me out... [Use] a vacuum."
