Call The Midwife star Helen George looked gorgeous as she shared exciting career news with fans after "heartbreaking" scenes unfolded on the drama series.
The 39-year-old actress, best known for her role as Trixie Franklin in the BBC drama series, shared a snap of herself looking relaxed as she rocked a gorgeous flowing satin gown while standing backstage for The King and I musical at the Dominion Theatre in central London.
Helen plays the lead role of Anna Leonowens - a widowed schoolteacher who is hired by the King of Siam in his attempts to modernise his country. On her Instagram Stories, she reminded her followers that they only have a few more days to watch her on stage.
"One week left to come and see us!" she captioned the photo of her holding onto a potato as she smiled at the camera in her dramatic costume. She added: "Potato purely for comfort and unrelated to the show." The King and I will be playing at the Dominion Theatre until March 2 and with just a week to go, fans will no doubt be excited to see what Helen lines up next.
It comes after Helen's fans were "heartbroken" when her Call the Midwife character Trixie was forced to say goodbye to her husband. On Sunday night, fans watched as Trixie's supposed happy ending didn't go to plan. Trixie's husband Matthew was ashamed when she found out about his financial situation.

However, Matthew wasn't okay with the new lifestyle and suggested the family move to New York so he could pursue a new business opportunity - an idea Trixie wasn't happy with.
She had to say goodbye to her husband, played by Olly Rix, and her stepson Jonty as they left for America. Fans were "heartbroken" and "frustrated" by the situation and rushed to social media to comment on the episode. One user said: "I'm not prepared for the end of Matthew and Trixie #CallTheMidwife."
A second upset fan commented: "They could have let Matthew and Trixie bow out happily but them turning Matthew into a t**t grinds me so much, she doesn’t deserve this just let my girl be HAPPY." One annoyed fan added: "Trixie and Matthew are so vexing this series. Going against almost everything in their character development for the last 3 seasons and is contradictory from one episode to the next #CallTheMidwife."
Call The Midwife airs on Sundays at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
