A celebrity beauty therapist has died after battling cancer for a second time.
Gloria Hincapié, famous for developing the Hincapié Technique, which manually eliminates fat concentrated in specific areas of the body, was tragically diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer in October last year. The 63-year-old had previously been diagnosed with ovarian cancer 11 years ago but had overcome the disease.
Due to "unrelated complications" she was rushed to hospital last week and died, her family said. The Colombian body therapist, who worked alongside her partner, Ángel Velasco, passed away in Los Angeles. Velasco said: “We were walking hand in hand and suddenly she looked at me and began to fade away. I grabbed her arm and placed her on the grass on the ground.”

The beauty therapist had lots of celebrity clients who frequently visited her body contour spas. According to her website clients include Cristina Saralegui, Maria Conchita Alonso, Maria Antonieta Collins, Gloria Trevi, Barbara Bermudo, Myrka Dellanos and Maria Celeste.

The Hincapié Technique is said to hit spots “where no machine, amount of exercise or diet can reach”, according to her website. "The volume is reduced by a break, dissolving and removing lumps of fat that were formed," the website explains.
"This reducing technique has many therapeutic advantages and cosmetic benefits for it helps releasing toxins of the body. The Hincapié technique is completely alternative to plastic surgery. It slims, shapes and enhances the body after a couple of sessions."
The technique is all-natural and considered a “healthy and safe alternative to plastic surgery”. Gloria also developed a line of pineapple-based beauty products with “proven high success rates”.

And if you reach the summit of success never lose your humility because there is if you f***** up.
"Let your humility be bigger than your ego and you will be happy. You left us a legacy with your wonderful technique that in your honor we will continue to carry it high Sofia, Angel, Gisela, and Dr German Hincapié we will continue your legacy."
In one of her final posts, Gloria said: “In Colombia, I became well known for serving people in politics, as well as beauty queens, and many models and Miss Universes. I wanted to expand and went on to conquer Miami, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and New York.”
A GoFundMe page set up by Gloria's family has so far raised more than $8,800 (£6,900). An update published by her daughter reads: "Gloria always wanted to be remembered by her smile, all of your kind words have meant so much to me and my family."
