When one just isn’t Kenough... Barbie star Ryan Gosling had two security men protecting him at the EE BAFTA afterparty.

In fairness, he was mobbed as he walked along the red carpet, even more so than David Beckham. So he needed those two minders as he partied with Barbie co-star Margot Robbie, director Greta Gerwig and pals Rosamund Pike and Emma Stone.

Downstairs at London’s Southbank Centre, Dua Lipa’s Barbie theme song Dance The Night blared out and the Tattinger champagne flowed. It was a disappointing night for Barbie, which failed to win any BAFTAs, but the cast were in good spirits, treating the night as a “homecoming” for the film.

Margot said: “It’s such a big celebration for the film, and we shot it here in London so lots of our crew are here.” Ryan is up for an Oscar for his Ken role next month, and spoke out against the film’s female stars being snubbed in the Best Actress and Best Director categories.

He said: “There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally celebrated film.”
