Ryan Reynolds made an incredible gesture to Anthony Forde and his wife Laura after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour - reaching out to get them a second opinion.
Just days after the couple's son Paddy was born, Laura had undergone a routine MRI Scan which found she had an inoperable brain tumour. A neurosurgeon told the couple the tumour was malignant and Laura could only have months to live, before Reynolds became aware of the news and asked if one of his doctors could see them.
Speaking on the Talking Transitions podcast, the Wrexham winger shared how he first learned of his wife Laura's diagnosis while away for a game in February of last year.

Ryan Reynolds mispronounces name of new Wrexham signing in hilarious videoForde said: "Laura rang me when we got to the hotel and said it is a brain tumour and I've got to see the neurosurgeon on Monday. We were trying to be as positive as we could until we spoke to the neurosurgeon but then we got the worst news possible."
The couple returned to Ireland to see family after receiving the bad news. He continued: "They hadn't met Paddy at this point and Laura didn't know if it would be her last time going home. It was just a crazy time."
But just a few days later after he became aware of the news, Reynolds stepped in and helped Laura get a second opinion. A new neurosurgeon was much more optimistic about Laura's chances. After a biopsy, they were relieved to find out six weeks later that the tumour was benign and the initial diagnosis had been wrong.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, Laura said: "Emotionally, it was just a roller coaster. I was initially in shock and disbelief. I was in such a vulnerable place that I felt I should be happier about this. But I had just been through the worst seven weeks imaginable with my newborn baby. I have PTSD as a result. I am going to counselling. I am not ashamed to say that."
She added: "No word of a lie, I was planning my funeral as I was doing those night feeds. I was crying silently. It was a really low time. A living nightmare."
Forde expressed his gratitude to Reynolds and fellow owner Rob McElhenney on the Talking Transitions podcast. He continued: "Thanks to the owners, I just don't think I'd have got that help anywhere else - they were amazing. They're genuinely good people who have a good heart and me and my family and friends will always be so grateful."
