Death In Paradise fans have rumbled a huge return after spotting a clue in a new episode.

The BBC show was back for a new series last week, and its 100th episode, which saw Camille Bordey make a return as she welcomed her baby into the world from France. However, fans are convinced someone else is coming back to the show.

In the most recent episode, Neville was seen struggling with the case after the Commissioner was shot, but also struggling without his former right hand woman Florence Cassell, who had to leave the island after a huge undercover case.

After Neville looked at a picture of Florence in his dresser, fans are now hopeful this signals Florence might be making a big return, especially if Ralf Little is departing his role as the Detective Inspector.

One fan wrote: "Feel like the Florence picture at the end of the episode means she's coming back for an ep or two and then leaving... with Neville. New DI? #DeathInParadise," whilst a second added: "Is Florence making a comeback then? #DeathInParadise."

A third shared: "When Neville leaves Saint Marie, I need Florence to be waiting to pick him up. #DeathInParadise #Floreville," with a fourth writing: "Any word on whether Florence is returning?? #DeathI nParadise."

A fifth penned: "We’re ALL interested in life on the island especially if Florence may still be part of it in #DeathInParadise," with a sixth adding: "Might we see Florence return one last time....? Who knows? #DeathinParadise."

Aside from Florence, Neville has only had one brief romance on screen with a lady called 'Sophie', who ended up faking her identity and using him to try and get revenge. Speaking about how that relationship has affected Neville going forward, Ralf revealed: "He's obviously very hurt and bruised by it and mistrustful of people. The concept of romance and love has left him extremely jaded. He feels like maybe it's just not for him and that for some people, it just doesn't work for them.

"We join him this series very much feeling like he's one of those people and this is all just something he should give up on or he'll get hurt again. He’s broken by the whole experience and ready to give up on the idea of loving in any way at all."
