A lucky Brit who hasn't yet claimed their winning lottery ticket could become £3.6 million richer - by making a simple phone call.

The 'Set For Life' ticket-holder won the top prize of an incredible £10,000-a-Month-for-30-Years from the draw on Thursday February 1, 2024. It means the amount paid to them over the next three decades would total a whopping £3.6 million.

Eight more ticket-holders matched the five main numbers needed to win the second tier prize of £10,000 a Month for One Year, with two of the prizes yet to be claimed. At this stage, all the National Lottery can reveal that the missing Set For Life top prize winner bought their winning ticket online, while the other two second tier prizes came from tickets bought in retail.

As with all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. The top winner is being urged to log into their National Lottery account and then call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 50 50 in order to make their claim. The second tier ticket-holders should check their paper tickets, either in store or scan the tickets via the National Lottery app, then also call the National Lottery Line and make their claims.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “It’s only a week since the Set For Life draw produced nine big winners - one lucky top prize winner and an incredible eight second tier prize winners - but we’re still searching for three of these lucky ticket-holders.

“Have you logged into your National Lottery account to check whether you are truly ‘set for life’ with an incredible £10,000-a-Month-for-30-Years prize with your name on it…? Have you checked those paper tickets to see if you’re set for one very exciting year ahead with £10,000 a month for one year due to come your way…?

“This year has got off to a great start for Set For Life players with four ticket-holders having scooped the top prize and an incredible 22 ticket-holders who have won the second tier prize so far in 2024. Here’s hoping for many more Set For Life winners for the rest of the year!”

Tickets can be checked by downloading the National Lottery app, visiting national-lottery.co.uk, or buying and checking tickets in retail. If you choose to play via the app or website, your ticket is checked, and you'll be notified by email if you win a prize. Players can also scan retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if they've won.

For major prizes won in retail totalling £50,000 or more, around two weeks after the draw, the area where the ticket was purchased is released if no valid claim is received.

Once a ticket has been claimed, validated and paid, the winner will decide whether or not to go public and share their news. The National Lottery's Set For Life prize offers a top prize of £10K a month for 30 years when the five main numbers and the Life Ball are matched. Matching the five main numbers alone can win you £10K a month for a whole year.
