A woman has shared a genius trick for removing stubborn make-up marks from clothing "so easily".

Cleaning your make-up brushes is one of those tasks on our to-do lists that we tend to dread; it takes a lot of effort. But, every make-up artist or skin care expert will tell you that it is a crucial task for making brushes, beauty blenders, and sponges last longer, as well as keeping away bacteria and germs from our face.

One make-up artist has shared the ultimate way to utilise your make-up brush cleaner - by getting rid of stains off your favourite pieces of clothing. There's nothing worse than putting on a fresh crisp shirt and looking down to see there is a make-up mark on it.

Irish woman Laura Broderick, who loves sharing cooking tips and beauty hacks on her TikTok page, has come up with a "brilliant" way to banish harsh make-up stains. If you are in a rush or on-the-go and notice a stain, it will be "completely gone" in seconds.

Laura demonstrated how she uses the Ella and Jo 'squeaky clean brush cleaner' - priced at £20 on the company's website and sold in a number of pharmacies around Ireland and Northern Ireland - as well as a cotton pad for her trick. Any other brush cleaner should do the job. She showed how one of her coats had foundation marks on it, so she dabs a few drops of the brush cleaner solution onto the coat, before wiping it off with the cotton pad.

Laura said: "This is just a reminder that if you have makeup on your jacket then it is so easy to remove with a bit of your brush cleaner - squeaky clean brush cleaner - watch this. It just removes it so easily. Completely gone."

A number of people rushed to applaud the hack on TikTok. "Such a great tip, definitely needed," one said. "Handy tip," added another.

Another commented: "Thank you I always get annoyed that I get make up on my jacket now this is life saver." One other wrote: "OK I have this actual brush cleaner and a coat collar caked. Coming across this has made my day."

A number of people also suggested using micellar water or hairspray to remove make-up stains too. "If you spray hair spray on the collar of jackets or jumpers before you wear them it stops make up transferring on to it," one advised.
