Molly McCann debuts at a new weight class tonight as she looks to break a two-fight losing skid against Diana Belbita in Las Vegas.
McCann, 33, is without a win in 18-months but can turn over a new leaf tonight in a rematch against Belbita, with McCann winning by decision when they first fought in 2019. Both of McCann's recent losses have come by submission as she was beaten up on the ground by Erin Blanchfield at UFC 281 and shockingly tapped out by Julija Stoliarenko last July.
Belbita has only won two of her last fights and admitted she planned retirement before offered a fight against McCann. The Scouser has been fighting at flyweight for virtually all of her MMA career but she now drops down a weight division and looks for a seventh UFC win. So here's all you need to know about the fight...
McCann is competing on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night 235 and there are six fights taking place before her fight against Stoliarenko. The action gets underway at 6pm and ring walks for McCann's fight against Belbita will likely take place around 11:30pm with the main card beginning just after that.
McCann's fight against Belbita will be broadcast live on TNT Sport 1 and existing customers can watch it as part of their standard subscription to the network at no extra cost. McCann's fight will also be live streamed on the TNT Sports website and app, so it can be watched via smart TV, mobile, laptop or tablet devices.

McCann: “The drop in weight because I was outsized. I think you can always see that was the deal. I would always get in there, and you can see the girls would be so big. I remember doing a DEXA scan years ago, and they said if I dropped I would lose a lot of muscle and stuff, but this time we’ve done it and I haven’t.”
Belbita: “After I fought Karolina, I considered myself being done fighting, stepping down and that’s it. Sometimes we don’t want to do it, and that’s ok. I just want to find another way in life and I was ready for that. This rematch with Molly McCann, it’s what took me back. When UFC texted me and I saw that it’s Molly McCann’s name on that, I was like, ‘Hell yeah. I have to do it again.’"
