Former musician Tre Lowe may be battling for the approval of The Apprentice boss Lord Alan Sugar - but he has experience of trying to win the approval of others in an extreme way.

The 48-year-old wellness entrepreneur - whose real name is Paul Akabah - has been married to his 33-year-old wife Enas Daeki since October last year. He is also a musician, performing in the electronic band Architechs - who produced the hit singles Body Groove in 2000 and Show Me The Money in 2001.

He was in the band with his brother Ashley - who tragically died in 2020 at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Tre and Enas also struggled with judgement when they announced their plans to marry - as their family disapproved of their proposed union.

In an interview, Enas has opened up about the difficulties she and Tre have overcome together. She is also backing him as he performed on the BBC’s long-running reality show - where Tre is one of 18 contestants battling to win financial and business backing from Lord Sugar.

She told the MailOnline: “We have both experienced so much grief. Making a difference to other people's lives is really what that drives us both… [Tre’s brother] Ashley died right at the beginning of Covid - before people really knew what it really was. Losing his brother, his soulmate, a fellow artist - impacted Tre deeply. But the rest is for Tre himself to talk about.”

Explaining how she supported her husband through his grief, Enas revealed: “Being there and just listening was what I did. To go through that heartbreak, together, was such a big thing.”

She went on to open up about the difficulties they faced when they announced their plans to marry. She said: “We ruled it out for many years because I was from Liyba and Tre is British, of Nigerian heritage. My family did not approve at all... People from my country marry other people from my country. When we first came to Britain I had to fight for a right to live here.”

She added: “When I won my appeal the rest of my family returned to Libya and cut me off. I felt totally abandoned but when I met Tre he showed me what was possible.” Tre and Enas have been proudly displaying photos from their wedding on social media.

Uploading a snap from their happy day on his own feed, Tre wrote: “There’s something incredibly powerful about commitment, especially in this modern world where everything seems so disposable, grass is always greener. But when we commit as men, to that ONE powerful, beautiful soul, it unlocks another level of possibility, of performance, of power and strength.

“Thank you to my beautiful wife @enas_daeki_ for your unwavering support and always having my back through thick and thin.” Responding to the post, Enas wrote: "I will always have your back from this day until my last breath."
