Like most Premier League sides, Arsenal have enjoyed a very quiet January transfer window with no incomings and no major outgoings so far.
The Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules mean Arsenal do not have much room to manoeuvre financially, as evidenced by the fact they signed David Raya from Brentford on loan over the summer with an option to buy.
As a result, Arsenal have been much more focused on planning ahead for next summer, where they will be hoping to once again strengthen their squad significantly ahead of mounting another Premier League title challenge.
With that in mind, here is the latest transfer news involving the Gunners.
Barcelona boss Xavi is set to step down as manager at the end of the season and a report from Spain claimed that Arteta was ready to quit Arsenal and replace him.

"That's totally fake news," he said. "I don't know where it is coming from, it's totally untrue and I'm very upset about it. I could not believe it. It has no sources. You have to be cautious when you write things in the way it was yesterday. I'm in the right place and I feel good about it. I'm embracing a journey with this club and there's a long way still to go."

Former Juventus striker Alessandro Matri believes Victor Osimhen could join the Serie A giants this summer, despite heavy interest from a number of other clubs including Arsenal.
"I would not rule out Osimhen going to Juventus," Matri said on DAZN. If Vlahovic ends this season well, he could be sold for €70million (£60m), while Matias Soulé can also bring in a very healthy profit.
"The purchase would not be unsustainable and don’t forget Juve have done this before with Gonzalo Higuain. They saved money this season and if they qualify for the Champions League, they’d have that extra cash to spend."

According to AS, Barcelona star Sergi Roberto is set to leave the club at the end of the season after they decided against renewing his contract.
He was open to signing a new deal and is said to have met with Xavi to discuss terms, but now that he is set to leave at the end of the season the club have decided to let Roberto depart as well.
It comes after reports from Spain claimed last month that Arsenal are interested in the versatile midfielder. Arteta is said to be a big fan of Roberto and the report states that the player likes London and. would 'feel comfortable living there'.
