BBC fans in tears over huge US star's appearance on Michael McIntyre's Big Show

BBC viewers were left teary-eyed during Saturday's episode of Michael McIntyre's Big Show when a surprise guest made an appearance.

Country singer LeAnn Rimes took to the stage and wowed audiences with her hit song How Do I Live. The unexpected star of the show was Sarah, a mum-of-two from Yorkshire who loves to sing.

However, in 2012, her life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and had to undergo emergency surgery. Despite her recovery, she has continued to suffer from seizures and had to learn how to speak again.

During tonight's episode she believed she was attending a Country Western bar but to her surprise took to the stage on the BBC's Michael McIntyre Show. Sarah's performance with LeAnn received a standing ovation, as the two sang beautifully on stage, causing widespread emotion among the audience.

Social media users shared their reactions, with many admitting to tears. On X, formerly known as Twitter one wrote: "Cannot lie, that duet with Sarah and @leannrimes brought a tear to my eye... some performance!"

"Anybody else watching #MichaelMcIntyresBigShow and blubbing uncontrollably at the Unexpected Star," another said while a third added: "Oh Michael @MMBigShow #Michaelmcintyresbigshow What a wonderful 'star of the show, show' with beautiful Sarah and @leannrimes. I'm still balling with emotion."

Someone else shared: "Sarah was absolutely sensational! Best star of the show, show yet. And love Leanne Rimes! That should be released as a single with them both singing."

However, some viewers issued complaints about a different segment in the same episode. Comedian and host Michael's 'Send To All' segment, where he sends a strange message to celebrity guest's contacts via WhatsApp, which in this case involved Joe Lycett, was criticised.

One angry viewer tweeted: "This send to all stuff is so obviously set up." And someone else agreed: "This Send To All is so staged."
