Manchester United face Newport in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Erik ten Hag's team has struggled this season with United often struggling to put together a good run of form. A trip to League Two side Newport should be an easy win for United, however, Ten Hag's side team will want to avoid any potential upset. Despite the size of the occasion for the Welsh side, anything other than a win for United would be seen as one of the biggest shocks in modern-day FA Cup history.
United have enjoyed time off thanks to the Premier League's winter break with their last fixture being the 2-2 draw with Tottenham. However, the Red Devils have just three wins in their last 11 games in all competitions making today's game a huge potential banana skin for last year's finalists.
Newport qualified for the fourth round of the historic competition by winning 3-1 away to Eastleigh in a replay and have been rewarded with a clash against the 12-time winners. The League Two side's manager, Graham Coughlan, has claimed it's the biggest tie in his club's history and speaking about the occasion, he said: “It’s a fourth-round tie against Manchester United, for me the biggest club in this country, in Europe and in the world."
