The Baltimore Ravens have confirmed that star player Mark Andrews, who was initially ruled out for the season, will be playing in the NFL playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs. This news comes as a huge boost for the team ahead of their AFC Championship Game.

Andrews had suffered a serious ankle injury during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 16, which was initially thought to be season-ending. However, it was announced on Friday that he has been activated off injured reserve, just in time for the big game.

After the game against the Bengals, it was revealed that Andrews had sustained a severe ankle injury, which was initially believed to end his season. Further examination showed that he had broken his fibula, causing additional ligament damage and leading to the initial prognosis that he would miss the rest of the season and possibly the entire playoffs.

Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh spoke about Andrews' injury after the game against the Bengals. He said: "Mark Andrews has a very serious ankle injury," and "I think it's a form of a high ankle [injury] but more than just a sprain. It was definitely a hip-drop tackle, and it is being discussed. It's a tough tackle. Was it even necessary in that situation?"

With Andrews back in the game, Coach Harbaugh was full of praise for his tight end's hard work to be ready for the big AFC Championship Game. "I mean the physical pain he went through ... I saw him in the training room," Harbaugh said to ESPN. "[It's a] very painful injury. Very painful rehab."

Andrews missed a lot of games this season but says he's all set to help the Ravens try for their third Super Bowl win. "I'm excited," Andrews shared. "I love to play football. I love the Ravens. I love the city. I'm going to them everything I've got." He also said his leg is better and won't hold him back.

"I'm feeling good," he added. "I'm going to help this team any way I can and whatever they ask me to do."

The Ravens are looking stronger with Andrews joining MVP hopeful Lamar Jackson, boosting their chances to reach the Super Bowl. The Chiefs will have to step up their game to face this new challenge as they defend their title.

Fans are buzzing for an even more thrilling game now that Andrews is back and both teams are nearly at full strength.
