Anyone with an iPhone in their pocket or Apple Watch strapped to their wrist can now get a boost to their exercise regime thanks to the UK's “The Body Coach” Joe Wicks.

The British fitness guru has now joined Apple's Fitness+ service to offer two special edition sessions which will become available on the platform from Monday January 22.

Joe teamed up with UK Fitness+ coaches Jamie-Ray Hartshorne and Kim Ngo to record the 10-minute cardio and strength classes at Apple's state-of-the-art fitness centre in Los Angeles.

The workouts are inspired by Wicks’s favourite HIIT and strength moves, and will feature songs from his new playlist on Apple Music. They have also been designed to help people of all abilities to take part so you don't need to be an athlete to give them a try.

There will also be some content released on YouTube featuring the trio of trainers for anyone not geared up with the latest Apple equipment.

“I’m a huge fan of Apple Fitness+ and its welcoming and inclusive approach to fitness and wellbeing,” said Wicks.

“We had a lot fun developing these workouts together, and I’m looking forward to helping as many people as possible start, continue, or reach their fitness goals this year.”

For those not aware, Apple Fitness+ is a subscription platform that offers access to a swathe of content aimed at getting you off the sofa.

There are HiiT classes, Yoga sessions, Strength training, Kickboxing, Dance workouts and more with all led by top trainers from across the industry.

All of these interactive sessions can be viewed on an iPhone, iPad or TV with fitness data from the Apple Watch also displayed in real time.

That means you can instantly see calories burned and heart rate without needing any extra equipment.

In fact, many workouts can be done with no equipment at all or just a set of dumbbells. The familiar Activity rings from Apple Watch also appear onscreen, highlighting the wearer’s progress and launching an animated celebration as they close.

Since its original launch back in 2020, Fitness+ has added more content and features with the most recent upgrade now bringing exercises to improve strength for golfers

There is also a new Artist Spotlight series — which dedicates an entire workout playlist to a single artist. Famous faces soon to be playing on the platform include Rihanna, Britney Spears and U2 and music Rihanna, Britney Spears and U2.

Apple Fitness+ costs £9.99 per month or £79.99 per year although you'll get three months free when buying products such as the Apple Watch, iPhone or iPad.
