A savvy shoe shopper has been celebrating after a trip to her local Goodwill charity shop meant she stepped back out head-over-heels in love with her new purchase. After taking a trip to the local secondhand store, which operates thrift stores across the country, she found the designer Manolo Blahnik shoes, made famous by Carrie Bradshaw on the Sex And The City series, which usually retail for £940 new, in great condition and for a fraction of the retail price.

Describing her excitement on TikTok she said: “I went to Goodwill. These are close to £940 ($1200) heels that I got for £4.50 ($5.79)! Look at these!” she said excitedly. After taking a screen shot image of the item from the website and the amount it usually retails for, she said that while the shoes were half a size too big, she would probably sell them on for a pretty profit, before adding: “I love Goodwill I love thrifting.”

Many viewers were thrilled on her behalf with one saying: “I’ve never seen a pair in person,” and another commenting: “Literally HOW?” Another said: “OK Carrie Bradshaw,” while one person was infuriated with posts of this kind: “Because of posts like these our local thrift store prices are getting higher and higher every day.”

However not everyone thought they were authentic, with one saying: “The buckle looks off,” and another commenting: “Those are knockoffs.” One agreed saying: “The puckering of the fabric makes me wonder if they are possibly fake.”
