A plane got stuck under a railway bridge for several hours while being towed along a road.

The decommissioned Air India aircraft was being transported from Mumbai to Assam when it became wedged under the archway on the national highway in Jalukbari on Saturday (January 6).

The 118ft plane was stuck for around four hours before the driver of the transporter truck worked a way through.

A local source said: "This incident marks the second occurrence of a similar incident - another happened on the 31st of December 2023.

Thanks to the efforts of the people and the police team in Jalukbari, the truck transporting the airplane successfully navigated beneath the railway over-bridge and reached its intended destination after nearly four hours of strenuous work."
