Jadon Sancho could be one of five players to depart Manchester United on loan in the January transfer window.

The winger has been frozen out of the first-team picture for months under Erik ten Hag and an exit was always expected to occur in the New Year. Sancho doesn't appear to have a future in Manchester whilst the Dutchman is at the helm and now an agreement to head to Borussia Dortmund is being discussed.

It was in Germany that Sancho first made his name, which convinced United to spend more than £70million to land the England international, who has since fallen out of favour with the Three Lions under Gareth Southgate.

Facundo Pellistri is another forward player who could seal a temporary exit from Manchester. The young Uruguayan is keen to get regular minutes, which are not on offer at Old Trafford. He's previously headed out to Spain to play with Alaves and options are again being explored.

Sevilla are among those tracking Pellistri with Everton also keeping tabs on the player's movement, reports the MEN. Hannibal Mejbri, who has spent time away recently with Birmingham City, and Dan Gore are more young talents who could gain experience elsewhere.

Joe Hugill was on the bench for Monday night's win over Wigan in the FA Cup having recently signed a new deal. The striker is expected to secure more time away to further his development with the 20-year-old recently playing with Altrincham in the National League.

This time last year Ten Hag used the January window to bring in the likes of Wout Weghorst, Marcel Sabitzer and Jack Butland on loan. With United struggling for results and in need of a fresh injection the Dutchman could have to dip into the temporary market yet again - something he has not ruled out.

"We consider everything," he said. "What is the best interests of the players and also the best interests for us, the team, for Manchester United, so we'll see how we progress during the window."
