LG TV owners should find a swathe of extra content on their screens thanks to a great-sounding update from the team at ROXi. The popular music service has launched a free upgrade on LG TVs which is bringing 100 million music videos to users across the UK.

Both existing owners and those buying one of LG's latest and greatest goggleboxes should find they now have access to this service which features a comprehensive catalogue of original and virtual music videos from all the major and leading independent music labels.

To boost the entertainment further, there are also 100s of interactive music channels, Karaoke sessions to sing along to and games to play as well.

“It’s great to be launching ROXi’s comprehensive music video catalogue, and engaging selection of music TV channels on LG Channels to LG TV users across the UK and Ireland," said Matthew Broughton, LG Director, Europe Smart TV Content & Services.

And Rob Lewis, CEO, ROXi, added, “We’re excited to be partnering with LG, to bring the ultimate at-home music experience to LG TVs."

Existing LG TV consumers with TVs purchased after 2019 can get ROXi for free and the app will soon come pre-loaded on LG TV’s App carousel. ROXi can be accessed via the LG Magic Remote or using voice search plus LG customers will be able to use their TV as a music video jukebox.

Those buying a 2024 TV will soon find ROXi’s full catalogue of 100 million original and virtual music videos integrated directly into the search function so users can search for music, as well as TV and movies.

ROXi coming LG TVs isn't the only good news for owners with the Korean technology giant also confirming that it will soon start rolling out big webOS software upgrades to older televisions which will bring new features to screens such as a more personalised experience and improved ways to customise the user interface. The changes, which will continue to arrive over the next 5 years, are aimed at making it easier for users to find and watch the content they like.

LG has gone as far as to say that its latest WebOS updates will make older tellies 'feel brand new'
