UFC star Paddy Pimblett warned he will "die young" after latest food binge

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has shocked fans with his weigh gain just weeks after beating Tony Ferguson.

'The Baddy' extended his unbeaten UFC run to four fights when he won a one-sided decision against Ferguson at UFC 296 last month. Pimblett was fighting for the first time in over a year as he underwent ankle surgery following his controversial decision win against Jared Gordon in December 2022.

Pimlbett is known for his post-fight junk food binges and despite weighing in at 155.5lb for his fight against Ferguson less than a month ago, the Scouser is now looking considerably heavier in recent pictures. Fans couldn't believe their eyes and questioned how Pimblett puts on so much weight in a short amount of time.

"Holy f*** bro how on earth are you huge already," one user commented. "Bro this dude gains weight faster than anyone I have ever seen, freak of nature," a second comment read. "Paddy might be the best at weight cutting in the UFC I’ve ever seen bro is bulking," a third user put.

Pimblett was warned about his weight gain potentially cutting his career short as another user wrote: "I get it you wanted to enjoy the holidays, but you need professional help about these splurges. It’s going to cut your career short and age you fast. Just look at what happened to Ricky Hatton. His binge/cutting cut his career short by at least 5 years. Hate to see that happen to you."

A final user added: "Dude will die young for sure with these eating habits. Jesus almighty. This can’t be real bro." Pimblett went above 200lb following his back-to-back submission wins in 2022 but was more disciplined with his diet after beating Gordon as he only weighed around 185lb in his time off.

"I don't ever want to hit 210lb again put it that way. After I beat Jordan Leavitt and Kazula Vargas I went a bit wild in America, I think at one point when I got on the scales I was 211lb. This time I'm not going above 185lb or 190lb. My coaches are probably laughing shaking their hands saying 'I bet he does', but I'm going to do my best not to balloon up," he said.
