A woman was horrified when she received an "insensitive" text message from the number belonging to her sister who had passed away.

Faith Sidman decided to send a heart-warming and sentimental text to her sister who sadly passed away, and she wasn't expecting a response.

The grieving woman sent the message two years after her sister had died, and was astounded by the "insensitive" message she got back and took to TikTok to share the painful response. She revealed she would occasionally send her sister a message as a way of dealing with her death and staying in touch with her.

She decided to send her sister a loving message that said: "Thinking about u lots today. I love you." She also revealed she had sent her previous messages saying how she wished she could call her sister at times.

However, a few weeks later Faith was shocked to get a notification from her sister's phone number that said she had a new message. The message that she had received was far from sympathetic or loving, as it bluntly read: "You have a wrong number."

Faith then decided to explain the situation to the person on the other end of the number and apologised for the string of texts. She told them she had lost her sister and still occasionally messages her. "My sister passed away two years ago and I still text her from time to time, I thought the number was out of service, I won't text anymore," she said.

However, the person still didn't show any sympathy and brutally responded: "This was a business. Please stop texting." Much to Faith's shock, but she tried to see the positive in the situation and wrote: "At least I got to see her name pop up on my phone one last time," followed by a smiley face.

TikTokers were shocked at the brutal response from the business owner, and many slammed the intensive response. One person chimed: "I'm so sorry someone is so cold-hearted like this baby, just keep texting the number. Hopefully they block it and u can keep texting to heal," while another added: "I could only imagine the emotions when you saw 'she' texted you back and to open up the message to them being snarky. I'm so sorry."

Whereas others demanded the name of the business so they could chime in with their thoughts. "I'd personally like to leave them a mean Yelp review for this one," one TikToker stated. A second penned: "Please tell us the business so we never give them our money."
