A Tesla driver has shared a video of his car battery charge remaining stubbornly constant for two hours despite being plugged in. Domenick Nati, shared the short clip of his Tesla S stranded in the cold with just 19 miles left on the battery. Despite being hooked into a charging station, the charge remains the same.

Throughout his TikTok video, the same frustrating warning message appears on the Tesla display screen, reading: "Battery is heating - Keep charge cable inserted."Domenick said in the clip: "It's 19 degrees outside." I have 19 miles before the battery is dead.

"Yesterday I tried this and it said to wait for the battery to warm up. I have had the car running with the climate control. I tried to charge it at my house, it won't let me. So there is no way to charge this battery or let it warm up in the cold. So I'm going to try this and I'm going to show you."

The video then cuts to Domenick using a Tesla charging station to try and charge up his electric vehicle. "This is the message I get," he continues. "Battery is heating - keep charge cable inserted. Okay. It's 1.11." The video then cuts to 2.11, exactly one hour later with the same battery heating message displayed, and with the charge still at 19 miles.

It then cuts to 3.03 pm, almost two hours later, with the situation unchanged. He then delivers the kicker, adding: "And it's Christmas Eve." TikTok users reveled in slamming Elon Musk’s electric supercars: “Turn the car over, it will have a reset button you need a pin to push. Hold it for five seconds.” Joked one user.

Another simply wrote: “Have you tried not owning a Tesla?” And a third said: “What a surprise. We haven't been struggling with regular starter batteries in winter for the past several decades.”
