Pesky stains on toilet seats are all too common as a build-up of different bodily fluids can make cleaning difficult but all the more necessary. Thankfully, a cohort of cleaning obsessives are on hand to answer your prayers as they have suggested how best to banish yellow stains from your toilet seat.

Avid fans of cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch have their own Facebook group where members constantly offer their advice for how best to deal with common household dirt and grime that can build up. In a recent post in the group, Lynne Helley asked: "How to clean toilet seats? Used magic eraser but not come clean underneath."

Immediately, there were a flood of comments offering advice to Lynne as the others revealed their tricks, and there was one hack in particular they were focused on. The best bit is it will only set you back pennies.

One person responded by saying: "Take off and soak in bleach and water. Comes up like new."

Another person responded by offering bleach as their best advice, as they wrote: "I use Flash with bleach on my toilet seats. Spray and leave for an hour and it gets all the stains off."

A third person offered a step by step guide on how to clean the seat with the bleach.

They wrote: "Put a load of bleach on it then fold kitchen roll on it to soak it in. Then leave it for as long as possible."

The best bit of this cleaning solution is that it will barely set you back as you can pick yourself up some bleach from supermarkets, such as Asda, for as little as 42p, so you will get your toilet seat looking brand new for next to nothing in a flash.
