The BBC has decided to axe its daytime quiz show Unbeatable hosted by Jason Manford amid a major scheduling shake-up.
The show, which has been popular among viewers, see contestants go up against each other to test their general knowledge. Each contestant has the opportunity to play it safe and win £100 for each correct answer.
But if they feel confident with their answer, they can risk it by pressing the unbeatable button to win £1,000. Despite being on air for two series, BBC bosses have pulled the plug and not renewed the show in a bid to make way for new content.

According to TVZone, a spokesman said: "Unbeatable had two great series but we need to make room for new opportunities. We'd like to thank Jason and the team for all their hard work."

BBC quiz show Unbeatable to be axed (BBC/12 Yard Productions/Graeme Hunter)And show runner Kate Oates has since confirmed that the latest episodes to be filmed will be the last, as the show is no longer affordable within the broadcaster's budget. Filming will run through to March 2024 with the final episode set to air in December of that year.
