BBC viewers are calling for Naga Munchetty to become the full-time host of a fan-favourite show after she landed a guest presenter job.

The BBC Breakfast star hosted Have I Got News For You on Friday alongside Maisie Adam and Richard Osman, with her appearance going down a treat with fans. The 48-year-old's role was such a success that viewers want her back.

"Great hosting. Hope to see you in the chair again soon," said one fan as they flocked to X, formally Twitter. " Naga Munchetty needs to host Have I Got News For You every week," said another. While someone else said: "Naga's fun cheeky side is perfect for HIGNY BBC should utilise her fun side more."

During her appearance, she left panellists and audience members in hysterics after making a hilarious NSFW joke. Maisie and Richard joined regular team captains Ian Hislop and Paul Merton. Introducing the show's Odd One Out round, Naga explained that four pictures will be shown, with the teams having to guess which one doesn't fit.

The images shown were a map of Australia, footballer Mo Salah, King Charles's curtains and an iceberg. Paul buzzed in to answer, saying the iceberg 'floated away from all the other ice'. He asked: "Is it five times the size of Britain, or something like that?"

Amazed that an iceberg could be that big, Maisie exclaimed: "What?!" Naga corrected Paul, saying: "It's twice the size of Greater London." The audience laughed at Paul's mistake, to which he responded: "Are there other parts of Britain? You can only say that in front of a London audience, I wouldn’t say it in Sheffield."

Naga's incredible quip followed, with her sarcastically saying: "It's so unlike a man to exaggerate size, isn't it?"

Maisie burst into laughter, while the audience applauded her witty comeback. Paul tried to respond, joking: "Well, to compare something to twice the size of Greater London, yes it's quite rare." Pointless star Richard added: "And don't forget, 90% of it is underwater."

And Naga's no stranger to innuendo, as she proved on BBC Breakfast at the end of last year. While wrapping up a wholesome winter wildlife update on beavers Winnie and Eeyore, she hilariously lowered the tone, causing co-host Charlie to quickly move on.

Telling him she was fond of the creatures, Naga said: "I've always liked beavers, always found them fascinating. "Winnie and Eeyore are just such hard workers. To be able to build a 50-metre dam, can you imagine the equivalent human being doing something like that? It's ridiculous, they'd never work as hard."

Charlie pondered the beavers' names, saying they didn't fit the stereotype of 'hard workers'. Naga laughed, saying: "Yeah the real Eeyore, they didn't get much done, but there you go." Naga said: "He did, he thought a lot... but beavers just do."

"It's all about the action with the beaver," she cheekily added. Naga looked at the camera and smirked with a cheeky look in her eye while Charlie tried to swiftly move on from the comment by giving the time.
