It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and that means one thing... no not Santa, or even mistletoe, but delivery parcel chaos. Most of us do much of our present shopping online these days, which inevitably leads to carboard boxes being piled high in the spare bedroom.

But if you're intending to send anything to a loved one yourself, then delivery company Evri (formerly Hermes) has issued some cut-off dates to be aware of to ensure your gifts arrive on time. The company said: "To make sure everything gets there on time for the big day, these are the dates you need to know."

It added: "Note that from 13th November, the drop-off time to ensure Next Day delivery is temporarily changing from 12pm to 11am. Drop off at a ParcelShop or Evri Locker by 11am Mon-Fri and your parcel will be collected the same day."

If you're yet to send out your Christmas cards too then you won't want to leave it too late, these are the dates from Royal Mail to keep in mind:

Parcel2Go is another delivery service offering a range of options over the Christmas period. You can get a quote for sending a parcel here.
