It’s almost time to jump into James Cameron’s Avatar world in video game form. Here’s exactly when Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora unlocks ahead of its full launch tomorrow.

It’s been a hot minute since Ubisoft has released a lavish open world game, right? Just kidding! Already this year we’ve had the likes of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Crew Motorfest release, but that doesn’t mean one more can’t be squeezed into the 2023 release calendar before Christmas and the new year arrives. In this instance it’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – a game canonically set within James Cameron’s movie universe that had me mildly impressed in a recent preview session.

If you’re someone who has pre-ordered the game on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC and are wondering when the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release time is when it launches tomorrow, we’ve got you covered. Depending on which platform you’re playing on and your region, however, the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release time can differ wildly. But it's worth noting that pre-loads are live right now. Here’s all the information you’ll need…

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release time – PS5 and Xbox

Ubisoft recently made the official Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release time known in a tweet from the official @AvatarFrontiers account. It’s a lot to decipher, though, so it’s worth breaking it down to its basics. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release time on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is 12am local timein every territory. So Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora releases as 12am GMT / 12am EST / 12am PST on Thursday, December 7.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora unfortunately isn’t coming to PS4 or Xbox One, meaning you’ll need to upgrade to a current-gen console if you want to play. This is a marked difference compared to this year’s Assassin’s Creed entry, indicating that it should look quite pretty in terms of its graphics.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release time – PC

On PC, the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release time is a little more complex in that it’s slightly different depending on the territory you’re based in. However, Ubisoft has made clear in that same tweet that the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora PC release time is 11pm GMT / 9pm PST on Wednesday, December 6 , while those on the American East Coast can start playing at the same time as console players at 12am EST on Thursday, December 7.

Wherever you choose to play, however, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is merely just a few more hours away. Set during the period between 2009’s original Avatar movie and last year’s sequel, Ubisoft’s latest looks primed and ready to let fans of the film series live out all the fantasies of being a Na’vi caught between the worlds of the natives and human colonisers.
