Coleen Rooney and husband Wayne don’t buy each other Christmas gifts, they just go crackers about treating their four sons.

The family have a heart-warming festive family tradition of going for a meal together on Christmas Eve – before heading back to their £20million mansion to get into matching pyjamas. Coleen said: “We put reindeer food out, leave the carrots and a snack for Santa, get the kids to bed and then Santa comes.”

Asked whether she had bought former England star Wayne’s present yet, Coleen added: “We don’t buy for each other, we’ve been together too long. Birthdays, yeah, but Christmas is all about the kids.” Coleen, 37, and Wayne, 38, are parents to football-obsessed Kai, 14, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five.

This year will be their first Christmas since Coleen’s hit documentary The Real Agatha Story about her £1.5m legal battle with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy. Footballer Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah sued Coleen for damages after being accused of selling stories taken from her private Instagram account. Vardy has been ordered to pay 90% of Coleen’s £1.5m legal fees.

Speaking about the court battle, Coleen said: “It was just draining, so stressful and it was the unknown of going into it. I had never seen a courtroom, only on TV or films, it was scary and emotional.” She added: “When the verdict came out, I thought it was time to tell my side of the story.”

In her new book, My Account, Coleen opens up about her miscarriages and Wayne’s infidelities over the years. And she said she had “no worries” about revisiting them. She said: “I’ve lived through them and we’ve dealt with them as a family. I’m someone who can move on, I won’t shy away from it, and everyone knows about it, so why not tell my side of it? I’ve been in the press for 20 years but even though I’ve been there and I can be in the papers day in, day out, you don’t really know me as a person.”
