Justin Bieber has joined a local basketball league, and his passion for the new hobby is clear to see.

The pop star was spotted on the court sporting his team's uniform and getting fully involved in the game. With a black undershirt and a true blue mesh jersey, he cheered passionately for his team. Justin wore a pair of matching shorts and black socks. He opted for a pair of bright red trainers. The singer pulled back his unruly hair with a brown bandana, but his facial hair was scruffy and growing out.

In one photo, he is seen leaping into the air heading to shoot the ball as he dodges out of the way of his opponent. The opposite team wore similar uniforms in white and red, but theirs had a skull emblem. Justin left his tattoos fully on display with his undershirt stopping at a quarter sleeve cut. Plus, his short trousers left his ankle and leg tattoo artwork showing. Fans and spectators were also seen lined up along the court, cheering the players on.

His lighthearted and playful public appearances comes after fans were furious at the musician for making a pro-Israel social media post. The A-lister posted a photo saying "Pray for Israel", however the photo he chose was of damage caused by Israeli forces. One fan said: "A 29 year old man that can't use his brain to search facts on Google."

When people started catching on to the issues with the post, he deleted it and added a new post to his story. This one was much simpler with the words "Praying for Israel" against a blue and white background. The star added a broken heart emoji for emphasis.

Another angry fan jabbed at the singer. They said: "Made a whole album called Justice yet you don't know the meaning of the word."

Justin previously wrote a more neutral statement on his story. He said: "Truly hurting for both my Israeli and Palestinian friends. I'm pretty sure we all instinctively know evil when we see it. To vilianise all Palestinians or all Israeli people to me seems wrong. I'm not interested in choosing sides, but i am interested in standing with the families who have been brutally taken from us."
