Google is following Samsung with a freebie accessory this festive season - and here's how you can get it with the Pixel 8 Pro (Image: Google)

The Pixel 8 Pro launched to shoppers earlier this year as Google's flagship new device. Packed with a bright new screen display, better storage, and a powerful processor, it has a load of qualities that may make you want to swap your older Android phone. Now, the latest deal that's caught our eye will see Pixel 8 Pro shoppers bag a free £139.99 smartwatch.

Yes if the Pixel 8 Pro is on your list you'll get a Fitbit Charge 6 added to your order without paying an extra penny. It may not be the Apple Watch or Galaxy rivalling Google Pixel Watch 2 (with its touchscreen and message integrations) but its a high-end piece of tech for avid fitness trackers.

And it's all thanks to a deal highlighted by Mobiles.co.uk through a particular iD Mobile contract, which will see shoppers pay £29.99 a month for the newest Pixel 8 Pro handset, and a hefty unlimited amount of data. It's actually one of the cheapest monthly payments for the 8 Pro handset that we've seen so far, as fellow provider EE is selling the exact same model from £41 a month.

The ID mobile plan comes to a total of £969 across the full two years, thanks to the pretty hefty £249 upfront cost but even though it'd mean you have to fork out a couple of hundred to benefit from the deal it works out a lot cheaper than EE's 8 Pro plan (which doesn't have an upfront fee) - EE's Pixel 8 Pro with Unlimited data would cost £1,137 after two years, so you're saving a huge £168.60.

Both iD Mobile and EE are offering the free Fitbit Charge 6 with their phone plans, an added freebie which seems to have been rolled out by Google itself and not the individual providers. Rival Vodafone is also featuring the Fitbit offer on its £39 a month Pixel 8 Pro - with 5GB of data - deal.

Even though there's a handful of providers offering various amounts of data with the Pixel Pro 8 handset - our pick would be the Unlimited data deal from iD Mobile down to the price - you don't have to pick out a SIM too. As the free Fitbit Charge 6 is available on the handset only price too.

You can simply choose the Pixel 8 Pro from Google's list of selected retailers (AO and Argos included) and claim the free £139.99 device by uploading proof of purchase to the Google Store - like this £999 Pixel 8 Pro listed at Argos. A deal which is proving popular with tech brands this festive season.

As Samsung proves with its recent £80 off the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earphones, again it's a money-saving offer shoppers can claim after they've headed to the checkout, so you have to be on the eye out for the money off.

Features of the Google Pixel 8 Pro

Here are the new specs:

Google's new Pixel 8 Pro overtakes the 2022 Pixel 7 Pro handset in its latest line up of phones, and it comes packed with a host of good features. As you can see above there's a new Tensor G3 processor which will boost its speeds - if you have an older Android phone you will likely feel the punch - and 12GB of RAM.

Onto screen specs and its 'Actua Display' on the Pixel 8 models gives real clarity on games, photos or anything on your screen, and the bigger 8 Pro model has a ramped-up version of this. Pixel 8 Pro users get a super version of the Actua Display, bringing HDR images 'true to life'.

There are also a host of talked-about new camera features including a new 'Video Boost', one spec which sets the Pixel 8 Pro apart from the standard Pixel 8 model. This can balance out skin tone and add colour and detail to filmed 4K videos.
