UFC boss Dana White has poured cold water on Conor McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis's chances of fighting for the promotion.
Multiple-time jiu-jitsu world champion Danis has expressed interest in fighting for the UFC since his embarrassing boxing match against Logan Paul last month. Danis barely threw any punches for five rounds before he was disqualified for trying to choke out Paul, which led to a mass brawl breaking out in the ring.
Bellator MMA released Danis from his contract just days after the boxing match and the promotion has since been acquired by PFL. Danis has called for White to sign him to the UFC as he wants to fight Paddy Pimblett in his debut, but it doesn't seem like that fight will be happening anytime soon.

“I have no beef with the kid at all, I’ve probably said two words to him in my whole life,” White said of Danis on the Full Send Podcast. “But every time he’s around, s*** is going down. We can’t have that stuff going on here. A lot of people will see when guys get into it on stage or something starts to happen, they’re like ‘Oh, they must love this’ or whatever. No. No, we don’t love it.”

Danis announced his 'retirement' from fighting two weeks ago on social media by writing: "I'm done with fighting. I'm retired. Love you all." The 30-year-old, whose last MMA fight took place over four years ago, previously admitted that he would hang up his gloves if the UFC didn't come calling.
"I'm gonna tell Dana White, I don't care who it is, just give me anybody. If they don't do it then I'm gonna retire and then I can just chill. I don't need the money, I'm good. I made enough money from the Logan fight, we made a lot of money, trust me," Danis said on The MMA Hour.
Danis also shrugged off the possibility of fighting for a UFC contract by competing on the promotion's Contender Series, a route that has served past and present UFC champions such as bantamweight titleholder Sean O'Malley. “I’d rather retire, bro. I’m not Sean O’Malley, I’m bigger than him. I have the most followers than any welterweight in all of MMA," he said.
