Piers Morgan slams 'liar' Scobie and claims Meghan Markle leaked 'royal racist'

Piers Morgan has hit out at Endgame author Omid Scobie, and claimed the royal author is 'obviously lying' about the alleged 'leak' of the 'royal racist' in the dutch copy of his book.

The former Good Morning Britain host, 58, has already taken aim at Omid, 42, following the release of the biographer's latest book; Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival. Piers was quick to pull apart a 'huge lie' in the book, which he said he 'personally knows' to be untrue.

And now, in another scathing social media post aimed at Omid – who has denied interviewing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for his latest literary release – Piers slammed another 'obvious lie' in the book. Piers responded to a tweet by ITV News' Royal Editor Chris Ship which detailed how a Dutch version of the book names one of the two members of the Royal Family who allegedly made racist comments about Prince Archie – despite Scobie's previous claims he was legally unable to name the accused.

In the book, Omid claimed there were in fact two members of the Firm who made derogatory remarks about the colour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's then-unborn son, Archie. And a page from a review copy sent to Dutch journalists is said to have appeared to contain the identity of one of the royals who allegedly made the remarks.

Chris Ship tweeted to explain: "The name of one of the senior royals alleged to have talked about Archie’s skin colour is in a passage that doesn’t even exist in the English version." The ITV News journalist then asked: "Was Dutch book translated from different draft? Author @scobie says he never wrote either name. How do TWO appear in Dutch book?"

Piers then responded to the tweet to claim the royal author was "obviously lying as he wrote: "Scobie’s obviously lying (again). I’m told the two names in the Dutch edition match the names of the alleged ‘racists’ cited in the Meghan/Charles letter exchange post-Oprah, which Scobie details in his book with info he can only have got from Ms Markle or her pals."

In another tweet, the outspoken host warned the author "must provide proof" or face potential repercussions. Piers added: "It accuses two very senior members of the Royal Family of being racists - so now it’s been published, @scobie must provide proof of these incredibly serious & damaging allegations, or the only Endgame will be to his career and bank balance.".

However, Omid has since denied naming the alleged 'royal racists' and said there was a "translation error" in the version of the book, which was shared with journalists in the Netherlands. As Omid appeared on Dutch chat show RTL Boulevard, he said: "The book is in several languages, and unfortunately I do not speak Dutch. But if there are translation errors, I’m sure the publishers will have it under control.

"I wrote and edited the English version," he added. "There’s never been no version that I’ve produced that has names in it."
