Margot Robbie wowed fans once again with yet another exceptional Barbie look while attending the 33rd Annual Gotham Awards in New York City on Monday night.

The stunning actress, who has spent the summer stepping out in iconic Barbie-inspired looks, delighted fans by dressing as 1964’s Black Magic Barbie in a black Prada dress.

Perfectly recreating the look down to the finest detail, the two-time Oscar nominee paired the gown with open-toed, black pumps from Manolo along with the famous doll’s elegant accessories, including a tulle cape, clutch bag, leather gloves and pearl earrings.

The Australian actress, who was joined by her husband Tom Ackerley, attended the star-studded event in support of director Greta Gerwig, who was awarded the global icon and creator tribute for her work creating this summer’s biggest blockbuster.

Margot even styled her beautiful blonde locks in a Barbie-staple ponytail with a deep side parting.

The Babylon star’s stylist, Andrew Mukamal, confirmed the inspiration for the look on an Instagram post captioned ‘BLACK MAGIC ENSEMBLE 1964.’

Black Magic Barble is thought to be inspired by one of Ruth Handler’s (Barbie’s creator) favourite outfits. The doll was released between 1964 and 1965.

Margot has spent the majority of this year twinning with Barbie at red-carpet events. The star has recreated the doll’s swimsuit look, dressed as the Pink & Fabulous 2015 Barbie doll, as well as the more retro Sparkling Pink Barbie from 1964.

Margot Robbie has been quick to praise the huge success of the first Barbie Movie and recently discussed the potential of a sequel.

Despite the box office success of the blockbuster, it looks like fans will be left disappointed if they were hoping for a sequel with the Australian actress clearly in no hurry to make a follow-up movie.

Speaking to the Associated Press, the Wolf of Wallstreet actress admitted: "Greta [Gerwig, the movie's director] put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next," she said, before adding it was important Barbie did well so future filmmakers could "have big original ideas and be given the budget to execute them properly".
