Family Guy has sparked debate yet again as it depicted an awkward real-life situation just weeks after they mocked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in a skit.
The episode showed a scene that was first brought to life on TikTok by a user named Tammy Nelson, who refused to swap seats with a passenger who wanted to sit next to her two kids aged 11 and 15. The mum offered up her middle seat in the row behind in exchange for the window seat, but Tammy declined the offer.
And when she said “no,” the mum reportedly proceeded to complain for at least 15 minutes to the person next to her. “Having had only 90 minutes of sleep the night before and knowing I had to give a presentation to 500 people, I desperately needed some sleep, so I did not agree to switch seats.”
In the Family Guy skit, a mother asks Stewie to give up the row of seats her family, but he replies: “No, no, we don’t switch."

The recent episode sparked debate (FOX)“Cause when we booked, they didn’t have three together,” she continues, before he interrupts saying: “Ma’am, ma’am, your poor planning does not constitute an emergency, you’ll see him in Paris, go sit down.”
Fans took to social media to debate the situation from the episode, with one writing: "Stewie is right. I’m sick of ‘seat cheaters’ – either pay extra or go home." A second added: “’Your poor planning doesn’t constitute an emergency for me’, what a great line, absolutely perfect."
Meanwhile a third was divided over the matter, writing: "She was polite an’ all, but the situation just had an uncomfortable vibe, and Stewie was kind of a d**k even though he was within his right to decline," a fourth chimed in: "I pray this never happens to me. I want to imagine I would give up my seat but I’m not that confident I’m a good person."
This isn't the first time Family Guy has stirred some conversation among viewers. The long-running animated comedy series showed family man Peter Griffin trying to compare himself to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

“Sir, your millions from Netflix for… no one knows what,” he deadpans. “Put it with the rest of them,” Harry replies, as Meghan interrupts: “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.” The defeated prince then adds: “I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense,” in a jibe at the royal family.
