Dianne Buswell's boyfriend Joe Sugg posted a sweet message following Strictly's Blackpool show.
The professional dancer has been paired with EastEnders star Bobby Brazier for this year's series of the BBC dance competition and have been impressing the judges and viewers. Over the weekend, the duo suffered a blow when they ended up in the bottom two at the iconic Blackpool show. However they were saved when judges voted to send Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington home instead.
Actor Joe Sugg is used to the stress of the dance show as he met Dianne when they were partnered back in 2018. He offered a sweet show of support following the weekend by taking to his Instagram with a string of snaps. Joe posted pictures of him and Dianne cosying up in a lift and doing facemasks on a train, as well as behind the scenes snaps of the Strictly show.
He also added a screenshot from his health ring, which said he was stressed for 6 hours and 45 minutes that day. Joe wrote: "Well.. I have no finger nails left. (And 6+ hours of stress apparently) Thanks Blackpool. Very proud.. and relived." Dianne replied to the post, adding: "Bless you sat in the audience with your hands covering your face."
It was a tough week for Dianne and Bobby following the results of their jive to Wham's 'Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" at the iconic Tower Ballroom. Fans noticed Dianne appeared to be visibly upset as she was place in the bottom two. The 34-year-old took to Instagram afterwards, where she said: "Extremely grateful for another chance to dance and to show you what this amazing boy can do.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likeness"I don't take any day or dance for granted [prayer emoji]. I want to thank everybody who took the time to vote for Bobby and I, we appreciate it more than you know. Despite a dance off, that was Bobby's highest score and he is improving week on week. He started this thing with zero experience so what he had achieved is pretty incredible. We have something pretty special for you all this week, coming up."
Bobby, who is the 20-year-old son of TV presenter Jeff Brazier and late Big Brother star Jade Goody, is a favourite to win this year’s series following his stand-out performances and on-screen chemistry with Dianne. He has even confessed his ‘love’ for his dance partner, jokingly calling her his ‘Juliet’ and revealing despite other women slipping into his DMs since his appearance on the show, he only has eyes for her.
Although there have been comments on how close Bobby and Dianne are getting on this year’s show, she has laughed off the ‘awkward’ rumours that began after fans believed they kissed at the end of their Argentine tango. Bobby has since said he sees the 34-year-old dancer as a "sister" figure, claiming: "I know everybody who has a relationship there – they’re in love. I don’t have any intention to be a home wrecker at all! I’m looking for a big sister and a lovely relationship."
Bobby has met Joe a couple of times, and when pressed by The Mirror on whether that was awkward, especially after all the speculation of a kiss at the end of their s routine, the pair dissolve into giggles. “Of course, it wasn’t awkward! I don’t feel awkward at all,” Dianne insisted.
“Bobby and I will definitely be friends for life, that’s for sure,” Dianne said. “I feel very grateful that I was paired with Bobby. I knew from the minute I met him that he had a lovely aura about him and when I danced with him in the very beginning, his passion and love for learning really made me smile. I love the fact he puts so much passion and energy into each performance and that’s what I fell in love with in dancing, the whole telling a story aspect, and Bobby does that."
